FreshWater provides hydrographic surveying services to clients seeking assistance with underwater site investigation, sediment investigations, and dredge/fill operations. We provide high-resolution mapping and side-scan sonar imagery using the latest technology in underwater sensing.
FreshWater owns and operates its own survey vessel, which can be equipped with a variety of survey systems ranging from single-beam to multibeam swath systems. In the photo above, the vessel is equipped with an EdgeTech 6205 multi-beam swath bathymetry and side-scan sonar system.
Project Highlights
Kinnickinnic River Hydrographic Survey
FreshWater conducted a hydrographic survey of the Kinnickinnic River in Milwaukee, WI in support of ongoing investigations in the area. The survey collected high resolution bathymetry and sidescan sonar data for a 0.5 mile-long reach. A state-of-the-art phase-differencing multibeam swath/sidescan bathymetry system was used to create a complete high-resolution map and sidescan imagery of the river bed.
